Public state interconnection registries are downloadable and authoritative — California DGStats publishes NEM interconnection datasets, MassCEC's Production Tracking System and the monthly EDC interconnection reports cover Massachusetts, PJM-GATS covers SREC-registered generation. Bulk address matching confirms interconnected status without a single portal login. Then production telemetry — monitoring accounts usually convey with the fleet — answers a different question: is it physically running?

Why it's accurate

Disagreement between cheap signals is the product

Two free signals — is it on the registry and is it producing power — resolve most of a fleet on their own. Where they conflict is precisely where the exposure lives, and that conflict is what routes a system to the expensive tiers.

Every disposition carries a label: VERIFIED with its source, INFERRED with its basis, or UNKNOWN with what it would take to resolve. For a diligence buyer, "412 systems unresolved, $18 each to verify" is worth more than a confident number that turns out to be wrong.

Proving it

We measure the accuracy instead of asserting it

A stratified random sample is pulled from every tier and run through full Tier-3 verification. You get measured per-tier accuracy on your portfolio, not a marketing claim — and if a tier underperforms on your fleet, its threshold moves before the full run.

This is the same discipline that caught a transformer-overload hold with a 15-business-day respond-or-withdrawn deadline — 11 days before the application auto-died. The system of record showed nothing; the truth was in the utility portal and one phone-call log. At portfolio scale, that is not one project. It's a line item.
